Who is Mrs. Gaer?
I am excited to be teaching your kindergarten child this year. I love to learn new and better ways to teach students. My goal is to teach each student how to work up to his or her greatest potential. I believe all students can learn. I also believe that each student has special abilities and interests that will help him or her learn.
I grew up in Custer, SD, which is in the heart of the Black Hills. I attended York College in York, Nebraska where I received my BA in elementary education. I recently added a reading endorsement from Morningside College. I have worked at the IKM Elementary since 1997. I have been a teacher here for 9 years. I have taught first, second, third, and fourth grade. I am excited to add kindergarten to my experience this year. My husband and I live in Irwin with our two children and one black cat. We simply call him Black Kitty. Our daughter, Grace, is in fifth grade. Our son, Grant, is in third grade.
